A LATE PETER Harte goal put the icing on the cake of a comfortable victory for Tyrone in their All-Ireland Qualifers Round 1B clash with Limerick at Healy Park today.
However, manager Mickey Harte won’t be happy with the low-key first half performance from his side, even if they appeared to be suffering for their six week lay-off since being dumped out of the Ulster championship.
Limerick fought doggedly in the opening period in particular but the loss of both Cillian Fahy and Darragh Treacy to black cards put paid to any hopes of an upset in front of just 5,200 fans in Omagh.
However, despite this, they trailed by just two points at the break, 0-6 to 0-4.

Tyrone though, showed their superiority after the break, scoring four of the opening five points to establish a 0-10 to 0-5 lead.
As the Red Hands stretched away with the clock ticking down, Harte nabbed the game’s only goal in stoppage time to give his side their 21st win in the Qualifiers.
